Lindita Ismaili, PT, DPT (she/they pronouns) was first introduced to physical therapy after suffering injuries from a major car accident. The intense force of the oncoming car brought chronic pain that to this day can only be relieved through the hands-on treatment and muscle strengthening that physical therapy provides. Lindita personally understands the commitment and time it takes to come back from an injury and the great reward that comes from listening to your body's needs and trusting professionals in order to heal.

Lindita earned her doctorate in physical therapy from the City University of New York, Graduate Center. Prior to earning her doctorate, she obtained her bachelor's degree in Biopsychology from the City University of New York, College of Staten Island. She received the New York Physical Therapy Association's "Brooklyn/Staten Island District Meritorious Student Achievement Award," and she has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2011.

Lindita is a certified running gait analyst, providing individualized treatment plans to address a runner's specific needs for mobility, strength, and technique. She also enjoys rehabbing individuals who wish to return to a specific sport. As a shooting guard throughout her basketball college career, she understands the dedication and hard work it takes to achieve one's goals. Her work starts in listening to her patients; their worries, fears, hopes, and goals. From here, she evaluates and develops specific treatment plans for her patients, implementing manual treatment, customized therapeutic exercises, and providing education for her patients so they may continue to work on their bodies and reach their health goals.

Lindita prides herself in creating a safe space for folks that identify in the QTPOC and LGBTQIA + family. She is an active member of the NYPTA's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee and works to increase accessibility and opportunities for minorities and LGBTQIA + folk in the PT profession. Lindita is passionate about using her skills with marginalized communities and has joined medical service trips to Mexico and India, bringing physical therapy to those who need it and cannot access it easily. She devotes her time to her friends and family and loves to explore the world, new tastes, and adventures, whether it be rock climbing in the mountains outside of Monterrey in Mexico or bike riding through the markets of Jaipur in India. When you see her, be sure to recommend the best restaurant you have been to in the world! She will put a "want to go" flag on Google maps for her next adventure!
